A Perseid meteor shoots across the sky at Steyerberger Schwaig, Lower Austria, in the early morning hours of August 15, 2023. It changes color and near the end of its path, it emits a short burst of light. I was lucky to capture this meteor during a 20-second exposure towards the western sky, which is one of a series of exposures for a timelapse animation. The meteor seemingly streaks down the Milky Way, which is one path a Perseid can take since their radiant is in the constellation of Perseus, which has the Milky Way running through.
You can also see the timelapse video (YouTube Link) which also includes lots of airplanes and satellites and runs from midnight until dawn.
